Ju thote Barbaroza me dashuri
po ju baj per hajr kete ode te re
hyra edhe une diqka me shprehe
me i shpreh dy a tri fjale
dy tri fjale a pese a gjashte
po ju flas diqka me a pa dashte
se diqka mu kish fiksu sot ne krye
nje porosi me ua dhurue
mos harroni ku keni le
mos harroni ke keni atdhe
mos harroni se jeni shqiptar
edhe njeri-tjetrin per me e dashte
po e shoh se keni ndryshu pak
keto fjale po ua them si me i pas hak
mbushni zemrat me dashuri
se jeta edhe ashtu eshte nje zbrazeti
as ne para mos lakmoni
se asgje s'mund ta zevendesoje ate qe nuk e keni
keto fjale po ua them te gjitheve pa dallim
pa marre parasysh kurbetqar a vendali.
