Matilda Mecini (Albanian: Matilda Meēini); born July 10, 1988 in Shkodra, Albania), is the newly crowned Miss Albania 2008.
Mecini is an exellant student in the University of Tirana. She is a Basketball player and has also done some modeling in Italy and of course her homeland Albania. Known for her resemblance to legendary movie star Marilyn Monroe, she is one of the favorites this year to win the Miss Universe crown. Matilda beat out 37 other candidates to win Miss Albania 2008.
Matilda Mecini is the beauty queen that will represent Albania in the Miss Universe 2008 pageant, which will be held in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 14, 2008.
