Kur ti me pyete:
"Sa me do?"
Une hapa krahet e mi
E ata u bene qiell.
Dhe zeri im i njome, prej femije
Te kendoi ty:
"Sa qielli!"
Kenga e kalldremeve
"E kane vuajtur dashurine!"
Thane per ne te dy.
Se ne bridhnim kalldremeve zbathur.
Se ne i kishim kembet gjak.
Se ne i kishim syte lot.
Se ne luanim dhe rrezoheshim.
Putheshim,
Por s'dinim.
Duheshim,
Por s'kuptonim.
Se ne ishim gjak.
Se ne ishim lot.
Se ne ishim puthje.
Dhe ne ishim dashuri!
"E kane vuajtur dashurine!"
Kenduan per ne te dy.
